Facility Limits
|
|
All fields have some form of facility constraint.
Prudhoe Bay Unit: The current oil processing capacity of the Prudhoe Bay unit facilities is generally limited by the amount of associated gas that can be processed and injected. In other words, some of the water and oil processing capacities cannot be used because of the inability to process and inject the increasingly higher quantity of gas that is produced with the oil and water.

Kuparuk River Unit: Well production capacity and process capacity are near balance. There is spare oil train capacity but water, total liquid and gas production are near capacity limits.

Colville River Unit: The Alpine facility is currently running at capacity with limits on water injection. Current development plans are in place to increase both oil processing and water injection capabilities. This will enable the accelerated development of existing nearby satellites over the next 6 to 8 years. Without additional modifications it is expected that with development of these satellites, the facilities will approach water and gas handling capacity limits.
